VERGELEGEN WINE CLUB   

Vergelegen has been inundated with requests for something unique, both in terms of wines and service – something which in reality could only be managed for a small and select group of people.

The Wine Club comprises of people with a love for wine, who are looking for something unique and expecting the best in terms of both service and quality.

The most unique aspect of the Wine Club is access to wines of the highest quality and a limited production that will never be commercially available. These wines are a result of Andre’s annual research programme.

In continually striving to improve Vergelegen’s wines he has the opportunity to explore and unleash his full creative skill, developing small batches of handcrafted wines – experimenting with oak, vineyard and cellar practices, and different varietals and blends. Previously these unique wines would find their way to auctions or be blended away in the Reserve wines. This select range of wines is aptly titled the NIRVANA collection. Currently several unique reds are maturing, however, the first of the white wines have been released.

Other benefits will be year round complimentary access to the Estate, wine tastings for the member and friends, invitations to wine dinners and specially hosted events in locations across the country and the ongoing exclusive offers for the purchase of the Vergelegen wines, the Nirvana as well as the Reserve ranges.

	Club Wines – the Nirvana Collection

Nirvana White 2006 Based on the success of the "V”, Andre could not resist the desire to create a white icon wine to compliment the ‘V”. A Semillon dominated blend, made in very limited quantities, displaying exquisite power, finesse and balance. Nirvana Single Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc 2007 A single vineyard from the lower Schaapenberg was bottled separately and deliberately kept back for a year prior to release. Andre maintains that the Vergelegen wines are consumed too early and that they only begin to show their true potential and nature a year or two after being sold out. This wine reflects the bottle-aged maturity Andre believes the consumers should enjoy.
