Dining is as versatile as it is enjoyable at Vergelegen and lunches can be savoured in the Vergelegen Restaurant, Rose Terrace Bistro or Camphor Forest.

Vergelegen's three culinary experiences have one common element: menus that are designed to complement Vergelegen's award-winning wines and that follow the seasons to make the best of our home-grown produce. Our cuisine is contemporary country style.

VERGELEGEN RESTAURANT

During the summer season, lunch is served on the patio sheltered by Liquid Amber trees and overlooking beautifully manicured lawns. During winter, lunch can be enjoyed indoors near the cosy fireplace. Tea and coffee is served from 10h00 to 11h45 and 14h30 to 16h00. Lunches are served from 12h00 to 14h30 daily.

ROSE TERRACE bistro

The Bistro overlooks the acclaimed Vergelegen Rose Garden and serves light alfresco refreshments. Open from November to April from 10h00 to 16h00.

The word picnic consists of "pic" meaning to pick at food, and "nic" referring to something small. So, you will be given a superb selection of small things to pick at to please both the palate and the senses. And for the children, there is a fun treasure hunt...

Open from November to April, picnics may be collected from 12h00 to 14h00. Bookings essential (made via the restaurant).

Smoked salmon parfait layered with green asparagus, lemon zest and served with a French style baguette,

Main course

Moroccan rubbed rare beef fillet with homemade Dijon mustard

Grain-fed chicken breast stuffed with spinach, feta, and peppadrops

Honey and caraway Kassler

Salads

Chunky Caprese salad layered with olive and basil pesto

Broccoli, corn, sultana, sunflower seed and cherry bel salad

New potato, cornichon, spring onion and red onion salad with whole-grain mustard mayonnaise

Dessert

Summer Berry Cheesecake with Crème Chantilly

Cheese Board

Local cheese selection with biscuits and preserves

Tea/coffee

R165 per person (excluding gratuity, entrance, and beverages/wine).

Vegetarian picnic option is also available; please specify when making the reservation.

Kiddies baskets for 3-10 year olds available – R 75 per child.

All three venues are wheelchair-friendly.

Major credit cards are accepted at all venues. Regrettably no BYO.
